The Alleva~Coppolo Preamp was originally designed for our Alleva~Coppolo basses, but the reaction was so great that we had to make it available in a stomp box version.

The new “Kah-Boom” box enclosure is professionally machined out of aluminum. Earlier versions of the box were hand made on an individual basis but we are now pleased to be able to provide the pedal in a newly machined aluminum enclosure, cut to our spec. The “Kah-Boom” box is now more durable with a laser etched logo and graphics.

The concept of this preamp is to supply a very thick, warm low end, and clear highs, without any harsh bite. Our years of gigging on all styles of music helped us focus on the aspects of active basses that we liked , and disliked. We found these frequencies to give us the warmth, and clarity we were looking for. From studio and touring musicians alike, we have found that a boost type only EQ works best. A flat EQ setting is achieved by both Bass and Treble controls being set at “0” zero.
